Starting the hardest ticket item first

During my Physical for Wood badge I went and had a BSA physical completed by my Doctor.
Talking to my Dr. my weight is becoming a concern. Currently my weight is 345lbs.
When writing my ticket I wanted to have a goal to lose weight and get down to 300lbs.
I started packing my lunch and removing soda from my diet
I also joined Planet Fitness with my wife to have a place to exercise. To be able to track my progress I activated My Fitness Pal account and app to track my calorie and exercise. I will try to link them to this Wood Badge blog.  If not I will keep an updated posts here.

Second Beaver Patrol Meeting

We are having our second patrol meeting tomorrow. I believe we are really coming together as a team and working together to accomplish our goal. We got our Totem back from out Troop Guide.
My Ticket has been sent along to the Assistant Scout Master for approval.
Really looking forward to the 2nd weekend... I need to get some camping in.

First Draft of My Ticket

Well I didn't think I would be able to put everything on paper and get it written down. But I just sent off my first draft of my Wood Badge Ticket.
I'm looking forward to getting feedback, that is a gift by the way.
So I can make adjustments to it and have it completed by our second weekend campout.
I really appreciate this opportunity to work on Wood Badge. I believe that Boy Scouts of America is great program and by strengthening myself by learning leadership and improving those skills. I can help make a better program for the youth of my district.

We had our first patrol meeting tonight on our own. I think we are all coming together as a group. We were all able to get a list of items to work on for our next patrol meeting in a couple of weeks. "Builder Beavers Building Better Scout"
